Jackie Robinson Park, 8773 Ave R, Sun Village, CA 93543

Juneteenth is an unofficial holiday observed nationwide by millions of African Americans, primarily in the southern states, to commemorate the freeing of the slaves on United States soil. Juneteenth celebrates June 19, 1865, when word that President Abraham Lincoln had freed the slaves reached Galveston, Texas, one of the last footholds of slavery in the United States.

This year’s celebration takes place from Saturday, June 16 to Sunday, June 17. Past events featured contest, pageants, a petting zoo, water games, a car show, a basketball tournament, numerous exhibits and all-day entertainment to include hip hop, gospel, R & B, jazz, food, and guest speakers.

"Please Pass The Mic" will be hosting the "GOT TALENT" showcase from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday June 16th.“Got Talent” is a censored west coast Apollo style showcase. The event allows entertainers of all ages and genres to perform live on stage, however the audience is allowed to cheer on or dismiss acts off stage by chanting “Please Pass The Mic”.

This showcase is an amazing opportunity for entertainers to perform in front of large audiences, build their fan base, and get their name and face on our huge mobile-billboard posters, flyers and advertisements.

In addition all participants will receive a video interview and a copy of their audition. The winner of this showcase will be crowned champ and automatically booked to perform and defend their title at our next “Got Talent” showcase.

Please contact us if you would like to perform at the next “Got Talent” showcase on June 16, 2018.
